What started as a small operation in Puchong has expanded into a nationwide service provider with additional branches in Penang, Johor Bahru, and Sabah. As the first Malaysian Chinese Chairman in the security industry, Dato’ Sri How Teck Hooi has established himself as a pioneering and highly respected figure in the field. With over 30 years of experience, his expertise includes private investigation, crime prevention, and comprehensive security management. His career began in law enforcement, where he sharpened his skills in security strategy and operational leadership.
Dato’ Sri How is a highly respected member of several prestigious organizations, including the Malaysian Professional Security Association, World Detective Association, International Federation of Private Investigators, and the Council of International Investigators (USA) C.I.I. These memberships not only recognize his contributions to the industry but also reflect his commitment to staying at the forefront of security practices on a global scale.
Throughout his career, Dato’ Sri How is known as a prominent figure who delivers his promises, consistently maintaining his integrity, transparency, and determination. His leadership style is synced with a strong adherence to values and sense of responsibility towards his clients and team. With his trustworthiness and reliability, he has built a strong bond with various retired high-ranking government officials, thus further strengthening the company’s expertise and reach.
Joining Special Squad Security Services in 2008, Dato’ Nixon How played a pivotal role in the company’s expansion and operational success. With experiences in corporate management and quality control, Dato’ Nixon consistently demonstrated his capability by implementing systems to enhance efficiency and service delivery. His strategic mindset and focus on continuous improvement have driven the company’s growth, securing major contracts and expanding the company’s portfolio to include a wide range of industries.

Our Business Divisions
We operate through six specialized business divisions, strategically focused on key regions across Malaysia. Some divisions concentrate on high-traffic states such as Penang, Johor, and Sabah, while most focus on the densely populated areas of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, where strata projects alone exceed 20,000.
Each division is led by experienced Division Directors who are responsible for managing in-house operations and delivering tailored security solutions. While they have the autonomy to make decisions regarding project terminations and new contracts, all actions must align with the standards set by the Head Office. If any decision risks damaging the company’s reputation, the Head Office retains the absolute authority to intervene and take control immediately.
Importantly, the Head Office continues to oversee all projects directly, as all manpower employed falls under its authority. This ensures a centralized command, maintaining full control over operations, client relationships, and service quality. This structure allows for operational efficiency, preventing the Head Office from being overburdened while ensuring our core values of excellence, integrity, and reliability are upheld.
